What is an induction hardened rod?
An induction hardened rod is a steel rod whose outer layer is hardened by induction heating and quenching. The hard outer layer resists dents, scratches and wear, while the core stays tough, which makes it ideal for piston rods in heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders.
